"I’ve always felt more confident when I’m in a great outfit. But getting dressed felt difficult. I wanted clothes that felt good, looked put together, and made getting ready simple.
So I started with bodysuits — and quickly realised the design was broken. Women were twisting, tucking, even un-popping them just to make them work. I kept thinking: why is it on us to fix this?
It seemed like such an obvious problem to solve".
Ashly Rae's beginnings
Raised in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Ashly spent hours in her mother’s sewing studio, surrounded by fabric and meticulous craftsmanship. A love for quality details that never left her. Later, her career in modelling exposed her to everything the fashion industry had to offer — and all the ways it fell short.
Rooted in her Scottish upbringing, inspired by her mother’s precision, and driven by the need for smart, wearable solutions that made getting dressed feel effortless — Ashly Rae was born.
